Sugar Factory
An experimentation with sugar, a material similar to plastic polymers but definitely tastier.
The students reinterpreted typical techniques of industrial production: rotational molding, thermoforming, extrusion, die-cutting ...
The result of this experimentation are 14 new ways to process and taste sugar..

Habitat
An investigation on the design possibilities generated by urban animals.
The students were assigned different species that live in the city with the aim of designing small systems that help the fauna by providing shelter, nourishment and interaction with human beings and “their” spaces.

Materia Prima Seconda
The course investigated the design possibilities of the materials generated by waste.
Students, first identified the wasted material they want to work with.
Then they manipulated it developing completely new materials derived from the mixing, shredding and processing of it. Eggshells, food scraps, animal hair, shells waste... find new scenarios of use, highlighting their physical peculiarities and following a circular approach.

Airchitecture
Thin surfaces inflated with air are transformed into huge volumes, light and usable, capable of modulating, circumscribing or dividing spaces.
The students reproduced and reinterpreted iconic architectural elements: windows, façades, ceilings, corridors and walls.
